Idaho Speech-Language Pathology Assistant License Renewal Procedure
SLPA licenses are renewed every year online. You will be sent a renewal notice six weeks before the license expiration date, which is also your birthdate. On the application, you will have to attest to taking at least 10 hours of continuing education CE) in the preceding year.
Keep a copy of all certificates of completion from these programs you attend as you will need to submit them as proof to the Board if you are chosen for an audit. Here is a list of Board-approved CE courses.
The first year you are licensed you won’t be required to earn CE hours. Afterward, you’ll need 30 hours every three years to remain in active practice. You’ll also need to pay the $80 annual renewal fee. Once the Board reviews your application and the certification is renewed you will be mailed a notification.
