Wyoming Speech-Language Pathology Assistant License Reciprocity Process

Wyoming provides license reciprocity to individuals who have obtained an SLPA certification in another state as long as the licensing standards in the state or territory that granted the certification are equivalent.

Regarding reciprocity, the Wyoming Board of Speech Pathology and Audiology can grant a license to an applicant who meets the following criteria:

  • Holds a valid license in another state with similar licensure standards to Wyoming’s.
  • The applicant must hold a valid certificate of clinical competence from the American Speech/Language and Hearing Association in the relevant field for which they seek licensure.
  • Meets the licensing requirements specified in the statute regarding criminal history and administrative penalties.

The board is Audiology & Speech Language Pathology Interstate Compact (ASLP-IC) member ASLP-IC is a compact between states, a legally enacted agreement that addresses a specific policy issue. The ASLP-IC Commission is developing regulations and operational procedures to implement the compact.
