North Dakota Speech-Language Pathology Assistant License Renewal Procedure

To maintain a valid SLPA license, you must renew it annually by December 1st. The renewal application must be completed and mailed to the NDSBE Executive Secretary, Beverly Solseng, at PO Box 5143, Grand Forks, ND 58206.

As part of your renewal application, you must pay a renewal fee of $75 (non-refundable) along with evidence of attending ten hours of approved continuing education. Documentation of attendance could consist of a registration receipt, certificate, or a letter signed by the continuing education course instructor.

To fulfill the continuing education requirement, it is necessary to complete pre-approved courses listed by the North Dakota board. However, if there is a course that you are interested in taking that still needs to be pre-approved, you may request approval by filling out a continuing education form and sending it to the Board. Within one to two weeks, the Board will respond to let you know if the continuing education activity has been approved or denied.

Once the Board completes its review and approves your renewal, you will receive an email notification. After receiving this notification, you can access the website and print an updated SLPA licensure renewal card.
