North Dakota Speech-Language Pathologist License Renewal Procedure

The license issued by the North Dakota State Board of Examiners on Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology is valid until December 31st of each year and requires annual renewal. To complete the renewal process, you must submit the renewal form, a renewal fee of $75 (non-refundable), and proof of continuing education. Late renewals are subject to a fee, and your license status will be updated once all fees are paid.

To fulfill the continuing education requirements for license renewal, you must obtain pre-approved education open to the public and create to improve competencies in your licensed area. This can be achieved through workshops, in-person classes/seminars, or online courses. Your completed form must include a brochure and/or course outline along with proof of attendance, and the course must be approved by the Board before your license renewal can be issued.

Upon submitting your renewal form, the Board will review and approve it. You will receive an email notification of the approval, after which you can print an updated licensure renewal card reflecting the new expiration date from the Board’s website.

It is important to note that failure to submit your renewal application form, fee, and proof of continuing education by December 31st will expire your license. You cannot practice until your license is renewed by the Board.
