Massachusetts Speech-Language Pathology Assistant License Renewal Procedure

SLPA license renewals are completed every two years on the licensee’s birthday. Renewals are submitted online through the Massachusetts Department of Public Health eLicensing System.

During each renewal cycle, a minimum of 20 continuing education units (CEU) must be completed. Half of the hours should be in speech-language pathology, and the other half can be in a related field like billing or coding.

Earn your CEU hours by authoring a published article about speech-language pathology, taking courses in the subject, or attending workshops and seminars. You can also conduct presentations that will count toward your hours.
