West Virginia SLP License Reciprocity Process

Reciprocity applicants for licensure will need to submit proof of their current license by contacting the issuing board in their original state. That state’s board will submit verification of the license along with a Letter of Good Standing to the Board in West Virginia. If the licensing state provides online verification the letter is not necessary.

Send in your application for initial licensure with a copy of your current license, and if the Board determines that the license is issued by a state with standards equivalent to West Virginia then an SLP license will be issued and you can begin practicing.
