North Carolina Speech-Language Pathology Assistant License Renewal Procedure

Every year, the license for a speech-language pathology assistant must be renewed on the same day it was issued. The SLP supervisor who holds the license is responsible for paying the registration fee set by the Board. To renew the SLP assistant’s registration, the supervisor must complete an application for renewal and pay the required renewal fee.

If paying by check or money order, the registration renewal fee is $40.00, while an online payment will include a convenience charge. Suppose there are any changes in the primary or secondary supervisor for an SLP-Assistant, a new registration form must be completed. If a supervision change occurs after the renewal fee is paid, but before the next renewal is due, a fee of $20.00 will be charged for the difference if paid by check or money order, while an online payment will also include a convenience charge.
