MD Speech-Language Pathology Assistant Certification Renewal Procedure:

The online renewal process for speech-language pathology assistance is pretty straightforward and simple. If you are renewing the Limited License, which can only be done once, submit the application and $25 non-refundable fee.

SLPAs with a full license need a minimum of 10 continuing education unit (CEU) hours. Five CEUs must be in clinical practice and the other five in work-related areas.

Each year the board is required to audit the CEU hours of 10% of the licensees. If you are one of the lucky licensees chosen for the audit please be sure to send in your documents as soon as you are asked. Each supervisor should have given you a certificate of completion which you can present to the Board.
