Mississippi Speech-Language Pathologist License Reciprocity Process

License reciprocity is a process that allows SLPs licensed in another jurisdiction to become licensed in Mississippi without meeting all the requirements for new applicants. The following items are needed for the Board to approve licensure by reciprocity:

  • Post-secondary academic transcript
  • Proof of completion of supervised professional employment experience
  • Praxis exam scores

The Board may require you to take the Mississippi Jurisprudence Exam to familiarize yourself with specific state laws. It is a “no fail” exam where you answer the question until you get it correct.

Apply through the Board’s online portal and pay the non-refundable $100 application fee. After 2-4 weeks you will be notified of your licensure status.
